Black Charred Wood

Black charred wood panels

Burning wood pieces to produce decoration panels is an ancient technique from Japan where it is still widely applied.
This reduces wood moisture content, making it more resistant to insects and fungi, more stable and longer lasting.
Its use is very varied: facade cladding, interior decoration, furniture.
The possibilities of finishing are very numerous: light burning, carbonization of the surface, brushing, application of a color, etc.
